Photos from the frontline. The diary of collective memories
The photographer, video artist and psychologist Oleksandra Klod sent disposable analogue cameras to several of her friends at the frontline. During the autumn of 2022 and winter of 2023, they captured their experiences, everyday life and feelings , and sometimes just ‘random’ things on film. The process was time-consuming, highly unpredictable and uncontrollable. The result of this participatory project was a photo album on the borderline between a zine and a photo album, which many of us used to have 15-20 years ago.
